This is a wonderful day.  The Best Day Ever!  There is nothing out of the ordinary and I haven't experience any big changes.  My weight is still the same but overall I feel healthy.  Letting go of 25 lbs would be fabulous but for now I am happy with how I feel.  There is no doubt in my mind that eliminating carbs and dairy will get this job done. Why then is this the best day ever........I think because this is what I have right now in this present moment.  I feel really good physically; I had my daughter as a breakfast visitor; my dogs love being by my side and I have not one but 2 jobs.

My thoughts on scales and weight

The dreaded scale.  It's only purpose is to measure, but for me there is anxiety and fear associated with this simple device.  I have been weighing myself every day for nearly 1 1/2 years.  Between Thanksgiving and Christmas I ate more than usual and definitely more carbs.  As I saw the scale rise a few pounds I began to feel anxious and fearful.  I thought if skipped a few days then I could drop those pounds, hop back on the scale and avoid feeling disappointed in myself.  The few days turned into a week then I came up with the great idea to go through the month of January and then weigh myself.  None of this was helpful!  Deep down I knew this was a mistake, but I was scared.  Fear is a success killer.  What did I find after a month of skipping the scale..........I gained 10 pounds!  Oh my, this was shocking!  I never thought I gained so much weight.   My opinion is than weighing yourself every day is helpful.  Keeping track of how foods affect your weight on a daily basis, especially for women over 50 is necessary.  My plan for now on is to weigh myself daily forever.  Losing weight is so difficult as we age and I can't afford to back track.

This is my buddy Bingo.  She joins me every morning for the daily challenge.  Bingo is my team member, friend and motivator.  Every morning she patiently waits for me to join her on our driveway. Rain or shine, hot or cold, Bingo is always there.  Her devotion keeps me going.  I do not want to let her down or disappoint her.  grooming, love, devotion, family
